I was born in the Netherlands, arrived in Australia (Brisbane) in 2002 and moved to the Sunshine Coast Jan 2008.                                                  

Me and my family (husband and two girls) spend most weekends on the beach or near the water. I have paddled a lot before the kids where born and now they are a bit older they come and join us. We also now do overnight camping trips with the kids & kayaks.

Born in Cape Town, South Africa now living on the Gold Coast Australia married to the beautiful Estelle, we have 2 boys aged 13 and 12 and 2 girls aged 11 and 10.

I enjoy an active lifestyle with my family which includes running, surfing, camping and kayaking, which makes my job of selling kayaks a lot more fun knowing I’m helping people of all ages getting more active and engaging with the outdoors.

Have spent whole life enjoying outdoor sports, dad got me into everything pretty young, including rock climbing, bushwalking, backcountry skiing, flat water and whitewater kayaking. Now in my dotage I enjoy telemark skiing in and out of the resort, mountain biking, and flat water kayaking. And food and wine.

Favourite kayak:  Prijon Marlin is a fantastic boat - Pound for pound you can't beat it: rudder, seat and hatches Prijon is made in Germany and they definitely know how to build a beautiful well designed boat. Many paddlers in the social group: "Bloke of the Sea and Mermaids" paddle the Prijon Marlin. They just provide a nice balance between stability and speed.

My favourite pastime:  - long distance paddling - preferably where there isn't any phone reception - Kayaking gives me the chance to escape and keep fit.

Took up paddling when I was 16 - swapped Dad's tender for my first kayak - Dad wasn't too impressed

Looking forward to..... Better weather in Melbourne and organising some new interesting Sunday paddles.  

Other interests COFFEE - went on holidays and was missing making coffee - love catching up with customers and drinking coffee.

Living in Adelaide with my wife and daughter, born and lived in Weymouth on the south coast of the UK for a lot of my life but also lived in the French Alps for 8 years as an outdoor pursuits instructor (kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing and canyoning mostly) with a year in the French Mediterranean as a sailing instructor.

Discovering the hidden gems on the South Australian coastline by sea kayak would be one of my favourite pastimes and I am passionate about getting people to discover it also, as so few people know how much excellent (although remote) paddling there is over here. I also enjoy cycling in hills around Adelaide whenever I get the chance.

I was born and have lived in Durban, South Africa for most of my life, Anton and I emigrated to the NSW Central Coast, Australia in 1999, where we started the kayak tour business and over the years grown to 9 retail outlets.

Besides being an avid kayaker, I am a nature and animal lover and thoroughly enjoy bush walking around this beautiful country, my absolute favourite part of the world has to be Cradle Mountain, Tasmania!

I have ten "hairy" children - a furry muddle of dogs, rabbits and indoor cats!!

I come from Durban, South Africa, but now call Australia home.  Mell and I have been living on the Central Coast of NSW since arriving in AU (about 13 years), and are very happy to be at arms-length away from the "big smoke" (Sydney).

Besides being something of a workaholic (what's not to like about working with kayaks :) I also enjoy bush walking and of course kayaking.  Tasmania is my favourite destination in the world, so hope to retire there some day.

I love animals and am passionate about animal welfare, believing that every living creature should be treated with respect.

Hi im Lance Maidment.   I've lived on the Central Coast since I was 4 years old.  I have a young family with a 2 year old daughter, we live one block away from the beach which we visit often.   I enjoy motorbike riding, working on cars and of couse I enjoy kayaking.
